Mary Gaitskill joins the creative writing lecture series at Columbia University.

Mary Gaitskill is the author of the novels “Two Girls, Fat and Thin” and “Veronica,” as well as the story collections “Bad Behavior” and “Because They Wanted To,” which was nominated for the PEN/Faulkner in 1998.  Her stories and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, Granta, Best American Short Stories and The O. Henry Prize Stories.  Her novel “Veronica” was nominated for the National Book Award in 2005.  Her most recent book is the story collection titled “Don’t Cry.”  She will be a Cullman Fellow at the New York Public Library starting in September of 2010.
